Residents have a field day for brain health

The residents of Westminster at Lake Ridge are celebrating Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month by engaging in one of the best activities to keep a brain healthy—moving. 

Being active is associated with a lower risk of brain issues, and the retirement community is teaming up with the Alzheimer’s Association for a field day, the Longest Day, on June 21. The purpose of the day is to recognize Alzheimer’s and bring awareness about brain health. Participants are joining people across the country in The Longest Day event on the summer solstice to raise funds to fight the disease.

WWII vet shares harmonica skills with Prince William preschoolers
