Westminster at Lake Ridge has been recognized as the Best Senior Living Community in Prince William County!

Residents have a field day for brain health
The residents of Westminster at Lake Ridge are celebrating Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month by engaging in one of the best activities to keep a brain healthy—moving.
Being active is associated with a lower risk of brain issues, and the retirement community is teaming up with the Alzheimer’s Association for a field day, the Longest Day, on June 21. The purpose of the day is to recognize Alzheimer’s and bring awareness about brain health. Participants are joining people across the country in The Longest Day event on the summer solstice to raise funds to fight the disease. Read Full Entry

Retirement community couple brings clean water to Kenyan children
In a few weeks, Westminster at Lake Ridge couple Mark and Diane will be leaving for a month in Kenya. The trip will be much more than a vacation, though. Mark and Diane are going to Kenya to volunteer.
For the past 15 years, the couple has been helping to provide clean water and sanitary facilities at primary schools in the country’s highlands through Waterlines, an organization that funds and supports drinking-water projects in rural communities in a number of developing countries.Read Full Entry
