Our diverse community includes people from all walks of life. We have many former military, government and public-service employees. Most of our residents value continual learning, and we encourage this through activities such as guest speakers and group outings to museums, the theatre or concerts. Our options for activities and housing are flexible because we aim to meet each individual’s needs. And while many wonderful and varied personalities make up our community, most are surprised to discover how much they have in common with others, and how quickly they make friends here.
Pat Olson Leopold
How long have you lived here? Since June of 1999.
What attracted you to Westminster? The setting reminded me of a college campus.
Lives in: Two bedroom den cottage.
Activities: Board member for the Westminster Ingleside Foundation, library committee. Also enjoys Tai Chi. Member of the Prince William County Arts Society.
Enjoys:Reserves Tuesdays for her art! She is an accomplished painter and sculptress and has won numerous awards.
Career:Served in the Navy, and worked at the State Department and the CIA for almost 30 years before retiring.
Current projects:"Art is another medium of communication. It enlarges your soul and life. I see much more than other people see when walking down the street. I see all the colors, while others just rush by".
Looking forward to displaying her watercolors for the April Westminster at Lake Ridge resident art show.
