John’s Story
• Originally from Chattanooga, TN and grew up in Nashville, TN
• Has served in both the U.S. Air Force and the Marines; fought in two major battles of the Korean War; taken tours of duty in Yugoslavia, Burma and Vietnam; and earned both a Bronze Star and a Silver Star - Our thanks, Sgt. Major!
• Raised one son with wife Vera
• Raised a generation of military leaders - still teaching Leadership Training at the Marine Corps Base at Quantico which he has done since 1985
• Moved to Westminster in 2008
• Secretly craves the peppermint ice cream served by Westminster’s chefs (oops – the secret’s out now)
