Memory Support

The Terrace at Westminster is a specially designed area for our Alzheimer’s/Dementia residents. It provides a safe, secure, calm environment with soothing background music, circular pathways, and lower levels of lighting. The Terrace Garden includes pathways, bench seating, gardens, and beautiful landscaping. Residents are free to move about and enjoy the comfortable, secured surroundings.

All staff members working at The Terrace have received specialized training and are experienced in dementia care. They are trained to graciously adapt to each resident’s lifestyle, while providing attention and care as needed.

Activities are tailored to meet individual needs, with recreation activities based on the resident’s previous home or work. Pet therapy is also available to residents. This has been proven to be very therapeutic for dementia residents.
